Submit one application at no charge. Placements can run in Summer 2027 or during the 2026/27 academic year, whatever suits you and the business.

What the student process covers

  • One application, at no charge
  • Defined project(s) inside a UK business. Default option at no charge
  • Summer 2027 or during the 2026/27 academic year. Dates agreed with the business
  • A possible route into later work if the placement goes well
  • Applications are read by the TEC team, with software used to help matching

How application works

01

Submit one application

Confirm your availability and set out the work you are able to do. That application is used for all matching.

02

Complete the course

Every student takes the TEC Workplace AI Integration Course before they are shown to businesses. A pass is required.

03

Review against live briefs

Your application is assessed against the project(s) a business has submitted, not against a generic vacancy description.

04

Put forward where there is a fit

A business sees your application only where there is a case that you can do the work.

05

Preparation and start

If you are placed, onboarding is set to that team's tools. Start dates are agreed with the business: summer or during term.
