For Businesses

Students assessed against your project(s)

Submit the work that needs doing. TEC puts forward only students who can deliver it. Every student has passed the Workplace AI Integration Course, developed with the UK's top universities, and can help you bring AI into the business. Used by start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs.

University interns collaborating on a project in a UK business

What businesses receive

  • You set the project(s), the tools they use, the measure of success, and when the work runs: summer or during the academic year
  • Candidates are assessed against those project(s), not a general profile
  • Only students who can show present ability and a willingness to learn quickly are put forward
  • Onboarding materials are adapted to how your team works
  • The work is delivered as a structured project-based internship. The fee is 12.5% of the project salary

Our approach

How we work with businesses

You give TEC a defined piece of work. Students are reviewed against that brief and put forward only where they can show they can deliver it.

01

Start with the work

Set out what needs doing, which tools it runs on, and how you will judge success. TEC does not begin from a vague role description or a pre-prepared list of students.

02

Hold the standard

A student is put forward only if they can show present ability and a willingness to learn quickly.

03

Onboard to your methods

The internship starts with a student prepared on your tools, and ready to learn on the job.

04

Follow-on arrangement

If you take the student on for longer than our 12-week project cut-off, or offer them a return role once they graduate, the fee drops to 5% of their project salary for one calendar year.

How it works

What happens once you are with TEC

TEC receives your brief and reviews applicants against it. You then choose who to interview.

  1. 01

    Submit the brief

Set out the deliverable, the tools, the timetable, and what a good outcome looks like. That document is the basis for assessment.

  2. 02

    Assessment against the brief

You see only those students with a case for the work, reviewed against the brief you sent.

  3. 03

    Review the shortlist

A small number of candidates, each with evidence tied to your project(s). Shortlist, interview, and decide.

  4. 04

    Place the internship

TEC onboards the student to your tools and working habits so they can contribute from the first week.

AI integration project

What needs doing

Create a series of AI agents to automate key business tasks. Update website in line with current design plans. Manage B2B email chains and deliver key operational business needs.

Tools

Notion, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub

What success looks like

Agent creation that provides meaningful synergies beyond the employment of the student. The student should build their confidence using the above tools and support the day-to-day operational tasks we provide. Work should be delivered accurately and on-time, in line with the broader team.
